Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs are one of the best ways to make hard boiled eggs. You don’t have to boil water, watch the stove, or set the timer. Pop them in the air fryer and next thing you know, they’ll be done.

You won’t believe how convenient and easy it is to make hard boiled eggs in an air fryer (we like this one). The best thing is that you don’t have to wait for water to boil, watch a timer, or use a trivet. In other words, this method is easier than both Stovetop Hard Boiled Eggs or Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs.
You also don’t need to watch the stove to make sure the eggs aren’t boiling too fast or too slow – just set the air fryer and forget it until they’re done. This is going to be your new favorite method of making hard boiled eggs for your breakfast, lunch, or salad.
How Do You Cook Eggs In An Air Fryer?
You simply place the eggs in the air fryer basket and set the temperature to 250F. You can also preheat your air fryer before adding the eggs, but it’s not necessary. Set the time and hit start, walk away, and come back when they are done.
Depending on the size of your air fryer and how many eggs you want to cook, you may need to cook them in batches. However, four eggs will easily fit in most air fryers. I don’t recommend stacking them as the eggs cook more evenly when they are in one layer.
If you want to make a big batch of hard boiled eggs you’ll likely want to use our tried and true traditional method, which you can find in our article with tips for How to Hard Boil Eggs.
How Long Does It Take To Cook The Eggs?
It takes approximately 14-17 minutes to cook eggs in air fryer. If your eggs are extra-large, add an additional 2 minutes to make sure they cook fully.
If you like your hard boiled eggs with a little soft yolk, you can also reduce the time to 12-14 minutes. Once the eggs are cooked, run them under cold water to stop the cooking process faster so the eggs don’t end up overcooked.
Do They Peel Easily?
Sometimes it’s hard to peel fresh eggs after they are boiled in water. I found even fresh eggs peeled super easily after being cooked in the air fryer. The peel basically came off in big chunks.

I also tested a couple of them to see if they peeled as easily after being refrigerated and found they still peeled easily after a day. The other method we’ve found that works well for peeling hard boiled eggs is to follow our directions in The Best Hard Boiled Steamed Eggs
How Long Can You Keep Hard Boiled Eggs?
You can store them in the refrigerator for a few days. Be sure to store them in an airtight container or your refrigerator will start to smell like eggs.
