Is there anything better than hot loaded nachos topped with jalapeno, cilantro, and tomatoes? Okay, so Air Fryer Pickles or this Air Fryer Blooming Onion do top the list of favorites, but crispy nachos made with ground beef and gooey melted cheddar cheese are still the most popular appetizer any day.

Plus, they cook in only 5 minutes in the air fryer which makes them a crunchy and amazingly good low-hassle appetizer, which every party needs.

What meat can you use?

Ground beef is the classic topping for nachos. However, you can also use other ground meat, cooked chicken, leftover rotisserie chicken, or shredded pork.

Can you skip the meat?

You can make nachos meatless by using any kind of beans including black beans or kidney beans. You can also skip the beans and meat and cook the tortilla chips with cheese only, then add toppings.

How do I cook Nachos in Air Fryer?

To cook nachos in the air fryer you need to layer the ingredients. First, put tortilla chips in the basket of your air fryer, then add beef seasoned with chili powder and cumin. Top it with shredded cheddar cheese.

Set the Air Fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit, and cook for 5 minutes. Nachos don’t require a long cook time, but it’s important to heat up the beef and melt the cheese. They are best served immediately because they can become soggy after sitting a while. Who wants that?!

What toppings can I add to nachos?

There are a variety of toppings you can use. Some favorites are green onions, chopped tomatoes, spicy jalapeno, and lots of cilantro. You’ll add these toppings once the tortilla chips, meat, and cheese are cooked. Finish your nachos off with a dollop of sour cream and some salsa.
