You’ve found it! The BEST Homemade BBQ Sauce that has the perfect balance of sweet and smokey flavor.

This bbq sauce is hands down way better tasting than anything you’ll find on the shelves at your local supermarket. One taste and we think you’ll be convinced to switch to making it at home from now on instead of buying it in a bottle.
You might be wondering what makes this homemade bbq sauce so great. I’m glad you asked. The combination of spices with the sweetness from the honey and molasses turn this bbq from being “ok” to PHENOMENAL. The spices include smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. If you have liquid smoke on hand, you can add a bit for that smokey flavor without having to smoke your meat, but the smoked paprika really does the trick too.
The cool thing about making homemade bbq sauce is that it is so easy. It’s almost cheating to call it cooking! You gather your ingredients, put them in a saucepan and let it cook and simmer for 30 minutes. You’ll want to whisk it every now and then so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of your pan. Enjoy this sauce on your BBQ chicken, steak or as a dip for chicken fingers.
