Carolina Mustard BBQ Sauce

Swap tomato for mustard to get this nice tangy bbq sauce that’s perfect on so many proteins. It tastes amazing – especially on pulled pork!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. hot pepper sauce (i.e. Frank’s RedHot or Texas Pete’s)
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
