Chicken Parmesan

Chicken Parmesan (a. k. a. Chicken Parm or Chicken Parmigiana, depending on the level of familiarity between you and this dish) is an Italian-American classic. We see it on the menu of every neighborhood Italian restaurant and many of us make it as a weeknight dinner at home. It’s so recognizable and well-loved that there are riffs on it all over the place too.

What Is Chicken Parmesan?

Chicken Parmesan is a classic Italian-American dish that traditionally is made with breaded chicken cutlets, tomato sauce, and topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. There are plenty of variations though, including subbing in veal or eggplant for the chicken.

In the recipes below, you’ll see classic preparations as well as dishes with the flavors of chicken Parmesan, like in sliders and pasta.
