Salad Dressings

Spring is in the air. And with it, soon will come the first round of garden fresh produce. In the early warm season, we see a lot of lettuces so we thought it was a good time to talk about dressing them up. Dressing them up in, well, salad dressing, of course.

Why You Should Make Your Own Dressing

You may be thinking, “There’s a whole section of various salad dressings available at the store! Why should I take the time to make my own?” I hear you, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But I’ve got good reasons for making homemade dressing.

First of all, you know that your homemade salad dressing is fresh and free of preservatives or artificial coloring. Plus, it just tastes better because you can adjust the recipe to be perfect for you.

Making your own is also inexpensive. You probably have the ingredients for many of these salad dressing recipes already – oil, vinegars, and herbs are a great start. Finally, you are able to make as much or as little as you need so that you don’t end up with multiple dressing bottles in your fridge that you don’t really use.
