Classic Hard Boiled Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Put eggs in a single layer in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add enough cold tap water so that the water is above the eggs by 1 inch.
  3. Set it over high heat and bring to a boil uncovered.
  4. When it boils, remove from heat and cover.
  5. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  6. Drain water. Fill saucepan with cold water. Add 4 handfuls of ice.
  7. Let sit until eggs are cooled through.
  8. Refrigerate unpeeled or peel and refrigerate.
