- 1 whole head iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- Using a paring knife cut a deep circle around the bottom stem of the lettuce head, keeping the circle close to the stem.
- Using your fingers, wiggle out the stem and core.
- Place the lettuce, core-side down, on a secured cutting board. Using a chef’s knife, cut the head of lettuce in half.
- Working with one half at a time, cut-side-down, make thin slices across the lettuce, starting from either side. The thinner the slices, the finer the shred will be.
