Instant Pot Chicken Wings Recipe

Contributor: Lauren Keating

Instant Pot Chicken Wings are tender and juicy. One of the best things about making them is that you don’t need to watch them while they cook. Just start your Instant Pot and walk away.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 and 1/2 cups water
  • 12 chicken wing pieces
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • Ranch or Blue Cheese Dressing, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pour the water into the bottom of your Instant Pot insert, then add a trivet with handles.
  2. Season the wings with salt and pepper.
  3. Loosely stack the wings on top of the trivet.
  4. Put the lid on the Instant Pot and turn the valve to Seal. Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes (for fresh wings) or 12 minutes (for frozen wings).
  5. When the cook time is up let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes before doing a quick release. Use this time to preheat the oven to broil.
  6. Use a pair of kitchen tongs to carefully transfer the wings to a baking sheet.
  7. Broil on high for 4-5 minutes to crisp the skin.
  8. Toss in wing sauce.
  9. Serve with ranch dressing or blue cheese dip.
