Loaded Baked Potato Dip is your new BFF for every party. That is if it makes it that far. While there’s no potato in it it’s made up of all those delicious loaded potato toppings.

A party isn’t a party without dip! If you’re looking for something new to try in place of your classic Buffalo Chicken Dip or Spinach Artichoke Dip, you need to try loaded baked potato dip. Chock full of bacon, cheese, and green onions, it has so much flavor and it’s perfect for scooping up with potato chips.
Does this dip have potatoes in it?
There isn’t actually any potato in baked potato dip. It’s called that because it has all the toppings you would expect to find on a loaded baked potato: sour cream, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and chives. It’s an amazing combination of salty, creamy, and fatty flavors that you’ll go nuts over. To make preparing the bacon easier, be sure to check out this method for cooking bacon from frozen.
What kind of sour cream should you use?
I like using reduced fat sour cream in this dip, because it has a slightly thinner texture than regular sour cream. Regular sour cream is just too thick, and you’ll find yourself breaking chip after chip trying to get a good scoop.
What should you serve with this dip?
Loaded baked potato dip and plain Ruffles chips are a match made in heaven. The ridges give this dip plenty of nooks and crannies to grab onto, and the chips themselves provide that classic potato flavor.
If you want to mix things up, baked potato dip is also great served with baby carrots, stuffed into mini peppers, or scooped up with pretzel twists. If you have any left over, it also makes a great topping for Jacket Potatoes.
