Totchos have all the great toppings of nachos and the comfort of tater tots mixed into one dish. They’re sure to become one of your favorite appetizers.

Units Scale
For Totchos:
  • 1 (32 oz.) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 and 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
To top:
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sliced jalapenos
  • Green onion
  • Sliced black olives
  • Sour cream


  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large cast iron pan, arrange tater tots in circles covering the entire bottom of the pan.
  3. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until tots are golden brown.
  4. While tots are cooking, in a medium skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium high. Add in ground beef, salt, and pepper. Break up meat and cook through until no longer pink. Drain off fat and set aside.
  5. Once tots are done cooking, add cooked ground beef then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake until cheese is melted, another 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven then top with favorite nacho toppings: shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, jalapenos, green onion, black olives, or sour cream.
