Creamy Whipped Cottage Cheese Recipe

Cottage cheese gets as creamy and smooth as sour cream when you whip it like this. You won’t believe how easy and tasty this healthy dip is. Step #3 contains a mini-recipe for chili oil that is delicious on this dip. A great substitute is store-bought Chili Crunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese*
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. chili oil (optional, see step #3)

Instructions

  1. To a blender add the cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, and the salt.
  2. Puree until very smooth, about a minute. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  3. If making chili oil: Heat an additional 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium low heat. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring often, until garlic is softened. Drizzle 2 teaspoons of the oil mixture over the whipped cottage cheese.
