Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thin boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • Cooking spray (or use an olive oil sprayer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Using a meat mallet, pound the chicken breasts until they’re ¼ inch thick.
  3. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then layer each breast with one slice of ham and one slice of cheese.
  4. Starting on the long side, tightly roll the chicken around the filling and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Lightly coat the chicken with flour, then dip it into the egg.
  6. Roll the chicken in breadcrumbs to coat thoroughly. Spray the chicken with cooking oil and place seam-side-down in the basket of your air fryer.
  7. Cook at 400°F for 12 minutes, or until 165°F on an instant read thermometer.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes and remove toothpicks before serving.
