Pot Roast Seasoning Recipe

For a 2 pound chuck roast, use about 3-4 teaspoons of pot roast seasoning to nicely coat the roast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 Tbsp. dried minced onion (or 1 Tbsp. onion powder)
  • 1 Tbsp. beef bouillon powder*
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. celery seed

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl mix together all ingredients until well combined.
  2. Transfer mixture to an air-tight container. Store up to 3 months in a cool, dry, dark, place for best flavor.

Notes

*If you’re using bouillon cubes, they vary in size, but the small ones are usually 1 tsp. and the extra large ones are about 1 Tbsp. each. So check your package, you’ll need 1-3 cubes, crumbled up well and then added to the mixture.
