Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Chicken drumsticks are hands down my favorite chicken piece. There’s something about that built-in handle that brings out the kid in me. And the meat is dark meat, which is my favorite because it’s so juicy and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs. (about 5-6) chicken drumsticks with skin*
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil (or use olive oil sprayer)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Remove chicken drumsticks from refrigerator.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  3. Coat chicken on all sides with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle on all sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  5. Put chicken in air fryer basket. Cook 10 minutes.
  6. Flip chicken and cook until 165°F on an instant read thermometer, 10-12 more minutes.
  7. Remove from basket and let rest at least 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

*For skinless chicken drumsticks, use the exact same method. Nothing needs to be changed.
