Dry Rub for Chicken Wings Recipe

This recipe makes enough for 10 chicken wings, cut into drums and flats (20 wing pieces). We like to use this method for cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 and 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl stir together baking powder, salt, chili powder, smoked paprika, and garlic powder until well combined.
  2. Transfer mixture to a non-porous container, like glass or ceramic. Cover and store in a cool, dry place until ready to use. 
  3. If using immediately, transfer rub mixture to a gallon zipper bag. Add raw chicken wings. Seal bag and shake vigorously to coat chicken. Cook wings according to desired recipe.
