Ground Turkey Tacos Recipe

You can make ground turkey tacos that have lots of flavor and are ready to eat in about 20 minutes. Love a good Taco Tuesday!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 crunchy taco shells
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 Tbsp. taco seasoning*
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven as specified on taco shell package instructions.
  2. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add turkey. Break into small crumbles. Cook and stir until well browned, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and chicken stock. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Cook 2 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, heat taco shells according to package directions.
  5. Divide the cooked turkey among the heated taco shells. Top with the cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

Notes

*Use a store-bought packet or make your own homemade taco seasoning. For just 2 Tbsp. of seasoning, use the following:
• 1 and ¾ tsp. ground cumin
• 1 and ½ tsp. onion powder
• ¾ tsp. garlic powder
• ¾ tsp. dried oregano
• ½ tsp. chili powder
• ½ tsp. sweet or smoked paprika
• ¼ tsp. cornstarch
• ⅛ tsp. salt
