Steak Marinade

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled, smashed
  • 1/2 yellow onion, peeled, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large jar with a tight-fitting lid add olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion. 
  2. Cover jar and shake vigorously until oil and vinegar are emulsified.
  3. Store the marinade at room temperature up to 5 hours, or refrigerate up to 7 days, covered.
  4. When ready to use, marinate steak for 20 minutes to 4 hours and then cook using desired recipe.
